I love taking care of people.I learn so much from them.I love being a part of their life,making their life easier . I have been a caregiver for 10 years and I have grown very close to all my clients. My name is Sandra I'm 50 years old I'm married .I have 2 boys and 3 grand babies and a wonderful husband .

I enjoy working with and assisting others with needs that they may not have an easy time doing themselves, or are unable to do at all. Helping them feel like they had someone outside of family who cared and also they can be both themselves and independent. I enjoy spending time with elderly who need companionship, talking and learning from them, listening to them reminisce and seeing some happiness brought back in their lives, or just need an ear lent for listening. I enjoy cleaning, I am very thorough and can adapt to the cleaning needs for those who may have specific requirements. Preparing and assisting with meals, deserts, and snacks for and with those I cared for ia also an activity I enjoy. Especially ensuring they have a healthy diet and one that matches their personal dietary needs. I have in the past been trained to do the hoyer lift, and catheters, I may need a refresher in these devices. I am also capable and willing to assist in any type of personal hygiene care for those who need it. This is not limited to bathing and clothing but also wound care I can provide within my legal limits of care. I am very proud that I have training for Home Health Aide and Care taking in the past. I was one of the few permitted (from both family and outside) to care for my Grandmother who had 24/7 care because she was unable to provide any care for herself. I also take pride when I did work for Carthage Care I often had clients request me from word of mouth from other clients. Many of my clients expressed their dissatisfaction when I chose to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
